Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light whitish-yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Zzzzzzz. Just another one-dimensional and raw, resinously hoppy brew. Man cannot live by hops alone.

Draught @ Collins Pub, Seattle. Pours an amber color with a small white head. Has a malty hoppy spicy grapefruit aroma. Malty and hoppy grapefruit flavor with some spicy hints. Dry malty hoppy bitter finish with a long hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Cloudy amber pour with a thick off white head. Subtle nose of hops, pine and meadow flowers. Hops dominate the taste along with grapefruit. This is a muh better brew than the SN on tap throughout CA!

Bottle from a local store. I love the bombers of Sierra Nevada, because they are 24 oz. Aside from that, the beer is actually good too. Pours out a nice orange color with a white head. Smell is full of grass and citrus flavored hops. Very good! Taste is sweet and smooth with a nice hop presence. Fairly hoppy, but not over the top. A really good session IPA. Good stuff here - try some if you havent already.

Bomber. Nice amber pour, seems a little dark for an IPA, but who cares, it looks good. Nice big fluffy white head. A little hop kick in the first sip, muted a bit afterward, very good though. Good flavor the whole way. Hops do stick to your tongue, but in a good way. Nice

(bottle) A bright and clear red-amber body with tiny bubbles floating up to a big, rocky off-white head. Hop aroma is very floral - pine, flowers, honey - and has some spiciness, too. Medium to full bodied; soft and thick. Lots of hops, but it does taste fresh and warm. Bitterness is masked a little in the front by the body and carbonation, but the bitterness really comes through in the end and aftertaste. One of my most favorite "hoppy" beers, I think.

Pour from 24oz bottle. Beautiful pour of golden orange with a perfect off white head. Nice aroma of floral hops. Awesome flavor. It’s of floral hops with a nice malt backround. Flavor lingers on the tongue. Very smooth and drinkable. Not as intense as I thought it would be. Overall, an excellent brew.

Pours amber with a nice size head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops. Sharp bitterness. Solid.
