Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

This beer taste’s excellent!!! One of Sierra Nevada’s best!! The hops are incredibly fresh and the flavor is absolutely amazing! One of my new favorites, I still love Boont amber ale the best, anything from Anderson Vally Brewing or Mendocino Brewing Company for that matter, but this is some good stuff! Good Job Sierra Nevada!

This is another great one. It pours a slightly opaque copper-orange with a thick creamy head. Aromas of citrus jump out at you, with citrus and overwhelming hops in the flavor with a nicely balanced, bitter finish. The spruce as others have noticed does come through, giving it a nice spicy feel and flavor.

24 oz bottle from New Seasons - This is an all-around fantastic beer. It looks very pretty in the glass. It smells delicious. It tastes very smooth, like silk pajamas.

aroma is very much to the floral side. taste is...well, very much to the hoppy end of the spectum as expected. really showcasing the opys heare, with not a lot of sweetness at all coming through. finish is long and dry.

24oz bottle from 2008 served in a Duvel tulip. Pours deep translucent amber with a lasting off-white head. Smell of yeasty dough and grass, fruity esters. Deep bitterness peppered with zesty fruit and a hint of chocolate. Lasting bitter finish, though not too intense. This is the first time I have had a harvest ale and this is totally not what I expected. Excellent.

Bomber 08: I think this beer is wonderous. This is my session beer. Just the right everything. I don’t understand the lower marks in relation to the Harvest, and wonder if people are confusing this one and the regular Harvest. Anyways, pours a massive 3 finger head that lingers a very long time and remains till the end with miraculous clinging lacing. Aroma of fresh cut grass and some dried fruits, flavor - in a nutshell - great. Love it!!!
