This pours golden color with a one finger width white frothy head and a medium amount of carbonation. The aroma was fairly boring but I was able to pick up a bit of hops and some malt. Nothing too exciting on the nose though. The taste consisted of some flowers, nice fresh hops, and some subtle caramel malt. Overall this was a very good brew. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. thefederalist (226), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark golden hazy color with an average head. Aroma is floral and pungently hoppy. It seems as though these hops are other-worldly, as if this is different than every other American IPA I’ve ever tasted. Perhaps it is because the hops are from New Zealand, or perhaps at even the suggestion of that fact I am inclined to perceive it as being different. Nonetheless, it is wonderfully balanced, and has a long lingering bitterness in the finish. Delicious. Ober (1200), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2009 A clear dark golden colored beer, with a big, thick foamy beige head. The aroma of biter hops and aniseed. There is sweetness with bitter. In the back some nettle. The taste of hopbitter, it’s dry with sweet fruits like citrus and spices in the back. The aftertaste is dry and bitter. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a extremely large sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated light orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops and caramel. A decent one that I would consider buying again. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2009 Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thin head and lovely fine lacing. Sweet orange, floral & barley-toy aroma. Solid malting, not overly sweet, a touch strong on the alcohol side - a bit of fusel bitterness creeping in there. Grapefruit & jasmine tea in the hops, long, lingering finish - yum! Good crisp body with a good thickness to it. Great carbonation. A bit on the strong side to be too quaffable, but a very good brew all the same. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

Beer tastes extremely fresh and crisp. Really a remarkable beer. gearbike (417), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Pours a golden off white with a nice head. Was expecting that real fresh flowery type hops smell and tast but it does not deliver. More like a decent solid IPA. Some bitter hops with a bit of sweet carmel. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden
