| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2009 A robust IPA with a very distinctive, grassy hop flavor. The addition of fresh hops is really distinctive and gives the beer a much "plantier" character that is at once bold and refreshing. A nice malt backbone finishes the trick. Fruity, hoppy nose with dried fruit, apricots and orange peel. Fruity taste with orange peel, citrus, caramel and a generous, fresh, citrussy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very nice and tasty with a fresh hop character. Slacks (485), Bolton, Ontario, Canada

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 3, 2009 bottle from whole foods: pour is orange amber with thick slightly off-white head. Fresh plant and citrus in the arouma. Taste is pleasantly sweet, caramel hops and some citrus. As a nice little kick (maybe a bit weak for an IPA actually) from hops and alcohol. Medium body, nice smooth mouthfeel, only a tiny bit soapy. This brew is well balanced. I actually would like to mimic this brew in my homebrew. cgarvieuk (4183), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 31, 2009 The 2009 edition, a stubby 24 oz. bomber.
Appearance is cloudy, illuminated orange. Massive soapy head. Clear with tiny bubbles. Looks like everything you’d want in the look of an IPA. Thick gobs of snowy lace.
The aroma is a citrusy resin hop. Perfumey and a little grassy; complex hop character. Malts are obscured, but an earthy malt appears.
The taste is hops that run the gamut from bitter to flowery, perfumey adn then a hint of citrus. Very nice and pretty refreshing.
The feel is milky and dense. Has the feel of a creamy Imperial IPA. It’s a damn solid IPA. Nice-bodied and easy to slug down. No burn and very little bite.
