Commercial Description:
This ale marks our journey to the only place on the planet where fresh hops are harvested in our spring, the Southern Hemisphere. Our task was daunting-we needed to get the hops picked, dried, flown halfway across the world and into our brew kettle in a little over a week's time. The result is a North-by-South fusion of fresh New Zealand hops blended with the finest North American malts. Its robust hop character presents an intriguing floral-citrus aroma leading to layers of fresh-hop spiciness. Enjoy!

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of grass, hops, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, grass, hops, and elderberries.

Bottle 71 cl. Pours a warm amber golden with a tall and dense off-white head. Rather light citrusy nose with a leathery hoppiness. Medium body, rather light mouthfeel, quite some caramel and fruit and a hop bitterness in the finish that grows and becomes rather distinct but not very refined. Disappointing actually. 100709

From tap at OBrians. Pours cloudy deep orange with a lacing light tan head. Mild spiced and hoppy fruity aroma. Light liqourice lik hops flavour. Solid hoppy and mild spiced. A bit dense on the hoppy side and dry caramel malty. Goes slight more smooth into the finish.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy amber, small head. Perfumy peachy hop aroma. Medium sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel . The solid caramelly body baths in plentiful of fresh aromatic hops. Finishes with lingering bitterness.

Bottled. Orangeish amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is quite rich on fruity hops and some slightly flowery and earthy notes as well. Flavour is pleasantly the same. Rather sweet, but at the same time quite bitter.

Appearance: clear amber, fine beige head, lots of drippy lace,
Aroma: sweet crystal malt aroma with lots of earthy and floral hops,
Flavor: rich crystal malt flavor, lots of earthy hops add lots of balance to keep it mostly dry, nice crystal sweetness sneaks out to add a second wave of flavor, light lasting bitterness,

Words: barley’s asheville

Aroma: aroma follows the bottle pretty well with some additional citrus hops,
Flavor: crystal sweetness shows up in the flavor first thing along with a touch of caramel, citrus hop flavor up front with the earthy hops following behind, the sweetness lingers along with the balancing hops,
Overall: better on draft with the added balancing sweetness

picking up a lot more sweetness in the flavor along with with a touch of caramel, still good balancing bitterness but the hops are fading,

Bright golden-bronze colour with a rocky head. Hoppy aroma is woody, lightly spicy with a strong toasty, chocolatey malt base. Very spicy, woody character with moderate bitterness. Lots of crystal and chocolate malt character. Well-balanced.
