chicagodri (485), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 8, 2008 Kind of surprised I hadn’t had this beer a lot earlier. Pours a clear yellow with a decent size head. Citrus aroma. A little bit of bitterness, citrus, and hops. Average beer, was hoping for a little more from Sierra though.
oakbluff (205), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Sep 2, 2008 pours light golden, good clarity and nice white head. Nose- very grassy . Taste- grassy, herbal and spicy hops with light toasty malts. Medium mouthfeel for a lager of this style, but finishes clean. Dry finish with crisp carbonation. Good summer time quaffer.
Gary__ (94), London, Greater London, England Aug 31, 2008 Not a Pilsener but better than a "soulless lager" type thang. If you can piegon hole that into a description as a style then you’re more dexterous with beer grouping than my ass. I thought this hit the spot . I enjoyed it & enjoyed 8 bottles as a tribute. Malty ,spicy Saaz hopped lager. If this were with a bready malt vibe it would be something very cool. fishingnet (805), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a two finger mostly lasting white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of floral and spicy hops with a hint of pale malt. Taste is the same as aroma but more prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness. Good. jkaiser (77), USA Aug 30, 2008 Smooth mildly bitter lager. A lager with bite. Yummy and refreshing. Ginormous lacing and pretty head. Pale gold in color. Crisp. Aroma of hops more than malt. Not bad for summer. ilherps (52), USA Aug 29, 2008 I love sierra, this is really their first beer I haven’t been too fond of. Given the style its alright, better than macro lagers, but this beer really is lacking that great sierra nevada taste. There is flavor of malts, with a thin, hard to detect hop finish.
