Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA

Picked up a six pack at Bryant Park Deli on 38th and 6th. Reasonably priced, only 1 buck more than Bud Light... which makes no sense to me. Assertive but not overly intense. Deep pine and oily hops. Not a bunch of complex flavors floating around, however still flavorful.

Pour is intensely copper. There is some pine and bitterness all around. Lasts on the tongue for quite a bit. Pretty much a textbook IPA.

Big, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Pours an amber-brown color. Really nice mouthfeel with some creaminess. Good amount of hoppy flavor. A very good IPA.

Pours brownish amber with a big, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has lots of pine on top of a fine caramel profile. Grapefruit, citrus and light apricot. Highish carbonation, really lovely dry mouthfeel with some lovely creaminess. Flavour is a lovely hoppy beer. Pine, grapefruit on top of a very good malty caramel base. This is really a super well-balanced IPA.

Ah,.. the citra hop. Has a piney aroma I usually equate with SN brews. Pretty complex hop flavor profile. Primarily pine, but there is a nice fruity,apricot aspect. Nice malty backbone. A pretty refined, hoppy brew. Very good!

Cask@GBBF 2009. Lovely. Hoppy, yet clean and sweet. Reddish. Malt is a bit darker, robust and flavoursome than an APA. Good brew.

Bouteille de 12 oz achetée chez Beverage Warehouse (Winooski, VT). Arôme: Odeur de pamplemousse et de pin. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût fortement houblonné avec une pointe de fruits tropicaux. Longue durée de l’arrière goût moyen. Palette: Le corps est plein avec une texture huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût houblonné. (Rating #2738)

Amber orenge. Citrus hop nosw. Big resinous piny hop flavour, with a oily, lasting bitterness. Underlying fruity sweetness balances it out and makes it very drinkable
