| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2009 One of the best new IPA’s to show up in local stores. Beautiful clear copper color. Nice lacing. Piney hop flavor with a nice bitter finish. This stands up to most if not all the Colorado IPA’s I get to regularly enjoy. poisoneddwarf (223), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. Smells of piney hops, malt. Pours a beautiful head with nice lacing; copper hue. Tastes of pine, alcohol. Pleasant bitterness lingers on the back of the tongue. Awesome, full-bodied IPA. mybrainhurts (214), North Dakota, USA

Nice balance of malts and hops. Grapefruit, caramel, and toffee flavors. Alcohol well hidden. I liked it. TheGrandMaster (1881), Auckland, New Zealand
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottle (in NZ). A bright amber with a large airy foam head. Interestingly, the caramal malt dominates the nose, with the piney/citrus hops subdued. There’s no doubting the hops in the pallet, as they charge full steam ahead. Doesn’t have that chalkiness that this level of hopping can come with, just a big and clean bitterness. Doesn’t have the malty flavour I look for in an IPA, but a good example of what you can do with a lot of hops. bpreo (25), Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 29, 2009 Really bitter, or very strong, because there is lot’s of alcohol in this one. I never said I didn’t ask for it. Rustyham (598), miami, Florida, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 29, 2009 extremely hoppy with an assertive mouthfeel, but the lack of maltiness weakens the body and makes the drink less pleasurable. Sierra Nevada’s harvest is still my favorite. Bottle at 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce, Fla.
