Commercial Description:
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Poured from 12 oz bottle. Nice "assertive" IPA that finally has enough hops for me. Sierra Nevada’s regular IPA is good, but this is a step up in flavor and ABV.

Bottle. Light copper color - clear. Hoppy aroma. Excellent - rich and very hoppy. Hops are also balanced by a decent maltiness.

Pint. Cool but not cold. Fantastic balance. Nice hop bitterness and nose with grapefruit / citrus overtones but balanced with plenty of malt. Not too high in ABV and just an all round great beer. One of my favorites.

12-oz bottle (Marcello’s, Lafayette, La) - Aroma: floral and fruity (hops) Appearance: slightly cloudy, reddish-orange color, white head; Flavor: grapefruit, piney, and bitter (hops), mod salty, spicy; Mouthfeel: full body, mod carbonation; Overall: definitely a strongly hoppy and bitter beer.

It poured a hazy golden-orange liquid. It had a strong sweet smell of grassy hops and caramell. It tasted of grassy hops, grapefruit and had a very high bitterness. Lacked some roundness but besides that a very nice IPA. I wanted more ;)

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper with a generous white head. Pine and citrus aroma with some malt sneaking out. The flavor? Hops, hops, hops and more hops. Full body that tastes fresh and clean. Pronounced bitter finish.
