HEAVLY HOPPED FLAVOR WITH LITTLE AROMA RICH IN THE BITTERNESS LIGHT ON THE CITRUS ALTHOUGH IT IS VERY DRY IT IS STILL QUITE REFRESHING AND SUPRISINGLY QUITE DELICIOUS. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 8, 2009 bottled. Tall head which quickly dissapeared. Very floral and fruity aroma. Hoppy ofcourse, with delicate pine notes along with citrus. Medium hopbite to what I had imagined. This was consumed after a very hot day, and it was frightenly refreshing considering the abv. Nice stuff! KyotoLefty (1465), Kyoto, Japan

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Color: Brown, orange
Aroma: Elegant (rather than just powerful and resinous) floral, citrus/grapefruit and grapefruit rind, musty note, fresh, uncut grass
Flavor: Starts with fruity malt, then comes the spicy, ripe orange and bitter grapefruit/rind, and finishes with a lingering fruity malt and hop bitterness.
Comment: Outstanding. Superb quality malt is well balanced with the bittering & aromatic hops. Instructive to compare this to Caldera’s IPA. I’d eagerly drink another of these! humulushound (135), British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Amber colored with nice white head and fine lacing as the drink progresses. Aroma is piney, floral hops, light citrus with some red fruit undertones. Flavor has more toffee malt but still has ample grapefruit, lemon hops with an easy bitter finish. Mouthfeel is articulated with fine bubbles, becoming soft and pleasing late in the drink. Very nice and worth another purchase. slang (406), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

The flavour is also made up by dried fruits layered with spices and herbs. Rounded and prolonged bitter ending. Fine made brew where flavour and aroma are well integrated. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Very hoppy full of pine and light citrus. Feels kind of oily from the hops. Long and bitter on the finish. Could easily become a regular in my fridge once I move back to the States. Very nice.
