12oz bottle 7/14/09 (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a medium amber with a big loose off white head. Aroma of hops, pine, and malt. Taste of the same with some dryness and citrus thrown in. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and quite refreshing. Great job.

Pours clear bronze with a dense and sudsy tan head. The aroma has lots of hops (earthy, piny and good amount of citrus) with some toasted malt. It is very hop heavy, but there is still a bit of balance. Medium rough grainy body with some semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts with what’s in the aroma and is much more hop forward and contains lots of dry grapefruit and some tangerine. The finish is hoppy and very dry. Great enjoyable beer.

A tall off-white head sits above this clear, deep golden orange brew. Fragrant and perfumy, clean citrus and fruit aroma. The flavor is well balanced with a bitter finish.

I thought this was a damn good brew but not quite as good as the Kellerweis. I had this at a liquor store sampling and the ladies kept em coming.

Has a clear copper pour with some red mixed in, produced an off-white head, not much carbonation in this beer, and this beer seems to be a little flat, I do not see any effervescence in the glass but looks pleasant and leaves nice lacing in the glass, I see lots of tiny floaties in this beer to, aromas of citrus and grassy hops with malt sweetness, toasted malt and a hint of caramel, some lemon and orange fruit essence in the background, sip has lots of hop bitterness with malt flavor that is almost even, flavor of toasted malt and some candy like sweetness, hop bitterness and malt are pretty evenly matched, hops may be a touch stronger on the tongue than the malt, mouth feel is medium with some creaminess in the mouth, might have been a touch flat on the palate but this was good to drink but I was a little surprised to see no or little effervescence in this beer.

12 oz bottle pours gold/amber, with soft head, nice lace. aroma is sweet citrus and some pine. smooth texture , med. body, feels like a cream ale. rich hops and not to heavy on malt. nice dry hop bitterness on finish. nice i p a.

Funny, I tried adding this beer a couple years ago when they were field testing it and RB insisted it wasn’t a different beer ... now it is. Anyway, now I find a rocky-headed copper beer with a merely normal aroma of malt. What follows, however, is a wallop of hop resin and a thick forest of piney beer. Good. (#3597, 11 July 2009)

Excellant new brew from Sierra Nevada. Aroma is pretty lame, not much there. Flavor is where all the goods are hidden. Your palate will be murdered after enjoying this extra IPA. Try this one at the end of your tasting night.
