| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 22, 2009 One of my other "go to" beers that I drink regularly. I usually have some SN PA and SN Torpedo in my fridge and go between the two. This one is obviously more bitter than the pale ale. Still has a nice fruity and hoppy flavor. I always enjoy this one. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Draft. An unclear golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops and grass. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of malt, hops, and grass, leading to a bone dry, bitter, and grapefruity finish. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 21, 2009 Bottle. Large fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Amber color. Aroma of pine like, citrus, floral, herbal, mild caramel and toasted malt. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Lingering dry bitter floral finish. BVery (546), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 21, 2009 BOTTLE: 96 rating??? Are you kidding? A very unbalanced IPA, some pine, hop without much malt backing, no where near an elite IPA. natejgood (190), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Pours a golden color with hints or orange. The head is a foamy, almost pure white color and the beer itself is fairly clear. The aroma is dominated by floral hops. The beer has good hop flavor, but it isn’t overpowering. It lacks the complexity of some top end IPAs, but this is a solid beer that has good flavor and is easy to drink. Shadallion (526), Sacramento, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 19, 2009 This is a quintessential West-coast IPA. Smack of fresh, delicious hops, firm body, and VERY drinkable for the style.
This beer won’t change your religion, but it is a welcome addition to the Sierra Nevada line-up, and certainly their second best beer after Celebration. coldbrewky (736), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Bit pricey at the rip and run for a sixer. This brew certainly has its fair share of hops. Body is medium and nicely balanced. Some flat alkalinity in the finsh. Thinly reminicent of Hop Devil. Some patch lacing. ketchepillar (485), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2009 A nicely balanced IPA. Seems like it has a nice mix of american and european hops. It is bready. Well done. A little less sweetness would be nice. It’s like a bed of reeds on a lake. Nicely grassy.
