Commercial Description:
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

(Bottled) Clear amber with a medium, lacy head. Slightly stingy, flowery-nutty-hoppy aroma with grainy-gluey notes. Flavor is better with reasonably fresh, aromatic hops, and some bitterness in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Slightly harsh, but not bad.

Bottled (HBF2009, BB 02/2010). Clear amber color, good beige head, Fresh hoppy (pine, grapefruit) aroma. Medium-bodied. Piney-grassy hoppy flavor, sweet malts. For now I think quite similar to some other SN products.

I don’t...it’s a Sierra Nevada so...sure their beer is usually pretty decent but...yum. The best beer for the price on the market. Beautiful pillowy white head, well balanced flavor erring on the side of bitter. Considering the source (and I say this as a Sierra Nevada fan) it’s excellent.

Nice clear amber with decent white head. Full mouthfeel, not too carbonated. Nice resiny, herby hop aroma. Good hope bite full of a variety of hop sensations on the middle of the tongue, finishes with a great, resiny, herby grassy hop bitterness. Great, wouldn’t expect anything less from Sierra Nevada

Big time aroma of piney hops and citrus. Left a nice lacing and had a perfect orangish color. Good tastes of citrus hops, and it went down very smooth. A very good IPA. LC

Bottled. Tawny, amber pour with a nice off-white head. Floral and citrus nose. Flavor is citrus with a hint of resin. A nicely bitter finish without being astringent. Well balanced.
