Commercial Description:
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

bottle. Pours a dark amber copper color, decent half inch of thick off white head, visible active carbonation. Aroma dominated by sharp, bitter citrusy hops, notes of grapefruit and some lemons. Somewhat typical SN Chop nose. Flavor shows a healthy dose of sharp citric bitterness, sharp grapefruit and lemons, some light notes of pine and grass. Muted caramel sweetness. Palate is crisp and even with a cry lightly bitter finish. Decent, solid IPA, though no real unique qualities.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry and citrusy hops. Taste is also dominated by some citrus hops with a nice clean bitter finish with some dry caramel malt. Hops are easily discernable but well balanced with great overall drinking factor. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing extreme about this one but very well balanced and easily drinkable.

Bottle. Not a big fan of the "hop bombs" but this one I enjoyed. Citrus and floral aroma coming from the orange-hued liquid topped with a fluffy white head and some nice lacing on the sides. Enough sweetness in the malt to balance the substantial hop presence. I liked the smoothness of the hops- they weren’t not sharp or bitter. A nice combination of grapefruit, orange, and pine. Left a dry and slightly bitter aftertaste. Very nice. (BTW, amazed this is 7.2%- can’t tell at all.)

Bottle - Pours a nice clear orange-amber in color with a small whitish head that fades quickly. Aroma is all about the hops... citrus, some pine and quite pronounced. Flavor is, given the dominating hop aroma, surprising well balanced. Hops still dominate the flavor profile, but there is a significant malt presence that evens everything out. Finishes with a short, dry hoppy bitterness. This is really good and very drinkable beer!

Bottle: Bought in San Diego and sent to El Salvador, part of the IPA samples series with ramenen. This one followed the great Ballast Point and was a great complement to the afternoon. Well crafted and balanced beer, big bold and powerful yet easy to drink en enjoy, just what we needed before the Ribeye!

Bottle: Orange pour with good clarity and a light tan head. Big cascade aroma- vegetal, herbal, zesty tangerine citruses and light pine. Fluffy, a tad over carbonated for the style. Sweet bready/caramelized body meshes with a fresh cascade hop presence- lightly resiny fore leads to some candied orange citrus and hempy vegetal character. Fairly herbaceous. A very solid IPA, especially for its large production.

Very enjoyable, crisp, light and refreshing with nice jiucy citrus hop flavors. Had on tap a few times in the past few years as they were "experimenting" wiht the recipe and I think it came out quite nice.
