Commercial Description:
Torpedo is an assertive American IPA deep reddish-gold in color, with a smooth and bready malt presence and over-the-top hop aromas. The beer has a solid bitterness and a massive hop flavor, yet remains easy drinking with a pleasant dry finish.

Nice aroma. Extremley hoppy. Smells of pine, fruit. Nice medium malt flavor. A bit smokey. A medium-heavy mouth feel. pretty good beer.

Pours a cloudy orange with an unimpressive head. Nose is luscious of hops, caramel, and cheap flavored soda pop! Flavor is of mega hops, peach, and a ton of grapefruit and citrus peels, followed by caramel at the swallow. Lots of hop bittering in the aftertaste. Little carbonation kills it’s thirst quenching ability. Everything else is right on target!

Bottle 350ml.
Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090725]

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark amber, slightly hazy, with a substantial foamy head. Aroma is chock full o’ citrus and resinous hops. Malt definitely takes a back seat, but makes an appearance. Flavor is full of juicy peach and grapefruit, slightly offset by caramel malt. Slight alcohol in the finish, but mostly lingering hop bitterness. Really stellar IPA, especially for the price.

0.35 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. A slightly hazed, orange-amber beer with a two-finger, foamy and airy, white head. Superhoppy aroma, zesty citrus, tropical and pine. Bold hop bitter taste as well, with grapefruit and oranges in the lead. A caramelly malt flavor is there to balance. Thick, oily mouthfeel. Well-bodied. Massive hop bitterness in a lasting finish. Not overdone, a great IPA with great drinkability.

Strong floral, earthy hops on the nose. Nice deep copper that heads up real nice and maintains it for a while. Palate actually comes across quite thin, but it is knocked out of the way by the hops and bitterness. Finish leaves a pucker effect. Its not a double/imperial, it is exactly what it says, a little extra hop and bitterness in a thinner IPA.

Slight haze, copper, thick burnt orange tinged head. Very hoppy aroma, bouquet is mostly pine, a bit of grapefruit and sugar daddy. Mouth feel is clean, plenty of bitterness and hops in this. The start is nice and fades into hoppy oblivion.
