This is a fairly nice IPA. Aroma is pine, sweet fruits, an herbal earthiness. Flavor is a good balance between sweetness and strong bitterness. It’s like they are fighting each other though, they just don’t seem to blend. Most of the time, there’s a lingering sweetness after the mostly dry piney finish.

Dec 7, 2009 12-oz bottle. Looks and smell like an IPA. Love the texture. Creamy with medium carbonation. Very pleasant. Taste is hoppy, of course with a hint of sweetness on the front end. I can’t find anything to not like about this beer. It is not a complex beer but it is full of flavor. Very drinkable. Another solid offering from S.N.

Dec 5, 2009 It’s not perfect... but it might as well be. Great dry hop smell and taste. Wonderful IPA. I’m not always a fan of Sierra Nevada but they have done well with this one. Great IPA.

Dec 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear orange gold, off white head. Aroma is hoppy and sweet; fuzzy kiwi, tangerine, caramel, grass. Flavor is, S.O.S. hoppy bitter. I love it! It’s crisp and non-syrupy. This might be the most hoppy bitter non-offensive beer that I’ve ever tasted. Maybe not, but we’ll just go with that for now. This is good stuff if you heart hops!

Dec 4, 2009 Another fairly standard IPA with a twist. This one has stronger grapefruit flavorings than one might expect, and it makes it very easy to drink. Probably the easiest IPA to drink that I have ever had to be honest. Smell is very hoppy, so if you like that combined with a twinge of fruit flavor, this beer is for you.

Dec 3, 2009 12oz. Resin! Smells like shoving your face into a bucket of fresh hops. Slight malt aroma comes through. Totally balanced drinking! The hops are strong in flavor and aroma but the bitterness is soft and compliments the malt. Yay beer!

Dec 3, 2009 Bottle. 12oz. Pours copperish amber with a half-finger, subtly off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, dry hops, yeast, and traces of fresh wheat. Medium, easy-going body with a nice, slightly heavy mouthfeel. Great finish; powerful and warming. Great IPA from Sierra Nevada.

Dec 1, 2009 12 oz bottle pours gold/amber, with soft head, nice lace. aroma is sweet citrus and some pine. Smooth texture , med. body, feels like a cream ale, rich hops and not to heavy on malt, nice dry hop bitterness on finish. Nice I.P.A

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden amber with a large, foamy beige head that slowly fades. Taste is of hops, pine, grapefruit, malt, and some caramel. Is a little sweet. Similar aroma. Has a rather bitter finish that lasts a while. A pretty good IPA, but not their best one.
