| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Pours to a clear, dark amber colored body with a medium sized light tan colored head that lasts. The aroma shows sweet pale malt, caramel malt, and of course fresh citrus & grassy pine hops. The taste starts with some very fresh hop bitterness that tastes if it’s been filtered through hops or at least dry hopped (not sure what their process is for this one), showing some bitter grass, grapefruit, peach skin, and hints of bitter berries all from the hops. Although quite bitter, this one has plenty of body with some sweet caramel & light bready malt that is just barely discernible in the background. Finishes with zesty, fresh leafy grapefruit hops on the tongue and leaves a lasting bitter of hops in the mouth for quite some time. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. A very solid IPA from Sierra Nevada that serves to highlight fresh, high alpha acid hops - my guess would be some combination of centennial, chinook, and cascade, although there seems to be a more earthy bitterness in the middle flavor somewhere which could be indicative of a bit of noble hops thrown in during the boil to add complexity....unless I’m completely off base here. Either way, very nice.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a somewhat cloudy orange-amber that is more gold at the bottom and more amber up high. Big off-white head that leaves some nice lacing behind. Hoppy aroma, with floral notes, pine, citrus, and caramel malt. Bitter hop taste with notes of grapefruit and orange citrus, pine, caramel malts, and a little soapiness. Bold and bitter with a bitter hop aftertaste. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This one gets even hoppier and more bitter as it goes down. Long aftertaste. Strong IPA. sjolles85 (88), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 7, 2009 12-oz bottle. Looks and smell like an IPA. Love the texture. Creamy with medium carbonation. Very pleasant. Taste is hoppy, of course with a hint of sweetness on the front end. I can’t find anything to not like about this beer. It is not a complex beer but it is full of flavor. Very drinkable. Another solid offering from S.N. nathan30533 (150), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 5, 2009 It’s not perfect... but it might as well be. Great dry hop smell and taste. Wonderful IPA. I’m not always a fan of Sierra Nevada but they have done well with this one. Great IPA. zebracakes (1215), Washington DC, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear orange gold, off white head. Aroma is hoppy and sweet; fuzzy kiwi, tangerine, caramel, grass. Flavor is, S.O.S. hoppy bitter. I love it! It’s crisp and non-syrupy. This might be the most hoppy bitter non-offensive beer that I’ve ever tasted. Maybe not, but we’ll just go with that for now. This is good stuff if you heart hops! b33pb00p (4), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Another fairly standard IPA with a twist. This one has stronger grapefruit flavorings than one might expect, and it makes it very easy to drink. Probably the easiest IPA to drink that I have ever had to be honest. Smell is very hoppy, so if you like that combined with a twinge of fruit flavor, this beer is for you. simonbilyk (50), Maine, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2009 12oz. Resin! Smells like shoving your face into a bucket of fresh hops. Slight malt aroma comes through. Totally balanced drinking! The hops are strong in flavor and aroma but the bitterness is soft and compliments the malt. Yay beer! patrickfannon (345), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA
