Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 26, 2005 A hazy light yellow beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is primarily of wheat, but also quite spicy, and so is the flavor. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 25, 2004 Bottled. Cloudy golden. Sulphury malt aroma. Sweetish and medium bodied. Some hops in a reasonably bitter finish. Not unpleasant, but I don’t grasp the idea with this beer. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pretty light golden, unfiltered wheat beer with a decent but not overwhelming head. Dry, actually very dry with a surprisingly high hoppiness (apparently from whole, fresh hops). Surprising as most European wheats are low on bitterness. Not as fruity or floral as German wheats, not as refined as Belgian. But quite it’s own personality. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 3, 2005 Bottled.
Hazy yellow coloured with a small white head.
Sweet fruity aroma, but not much aroma at all.
Fruity flavour with notes of herbs and hops. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 12, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a chalk white head. Light cardemomme and light citrus spiced aroma. Dry citrus fruity wheat flavour. Dry malt base and a mild spice note. Not much wheat yet a good brew. Light citrusy finish.
