Ober (190), Best, Netherlands Apr 27, 2008 A clear yellow beer. It has a foamy white head. An aroma of hop and yeast. The taste is thin, with small hops and some bitternes. Mabye not a real or great wheat beer, but overal it’s a drinkable beer.
Maverick34 (422), New York, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottled. I’ve never had a skunky, badly made weiss, but I guess now I have. Pale, no flavor, nastiness only. Avoid. Heathen (451), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 THOUGHTS: A nice wheat beer. It succeeded where many fail, but this is nothing special or memorable about it.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark cloudy, yellow to light orange with beautiful carbonation and a large, rocky, white head that mostly diminished and left fair to good lacing. The aroma was nice but weak. There was an ever so slight presence of hops, light yeast, orange, lemon and wheat. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet; while the finish was moderate to heavily acidic and lightly bitter with a short duration. It was nice but weak. There was wheat, orange, yeast, and lemon, which were all a little watery; and then just a touch of hops at the end. The light body was watery and a little dry at the end with soft carbonation and a light to moderate astringent and slightly metallic and sorta chalky finish. MiP (4679), Flensburg, Germany Jul 6, 2008 Bottle at ÅBF08. Clear golden colour. Weak fruity flavour. OK wheat mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Refreshing, but not very interesting. riversideAK (1444), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 Pale hazy gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is light with wheat and just a hint of hops. The flavor is also similar with a soft wheat, a crisp hoppiness, and a light lingering wheaty finish. A little citrus twang comes through as well. tiggmtl (4148), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jun 23, 2008 Mild wheat and light grassy hops in the nose along with a hint of lemon zest. Lightly hazy golden body topped by a low, fine bubbled and lasting white head that sticks to the sides of the glass. Flavours of wheat, lemon and grassy hops combine with fair to moderate bitterness. Refreshing light medium body with fairly strong carbonation. Clean, light and refreshing. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Jun-08).
