| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Pours a pale amber with a decent off white head. Has a fruity cinnamon smell. Sour astringent taste that is difficult to nail down. I get citrus, spices, and an off wild yeast flavor. I know this sort of thing is a favorite with many, but I’m not one of them. Although I must say that I’m not a big fan, this did have some interesting qualities. BeerandBlues2 (3203), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 19, 2008 750 mL bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours clear amber with a small, frothy, white head, lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw), average hops (grass, citrus, lemon), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of coriander and dust. Light bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness and bitterness, light acidity. Flavor of band aids and plastic mixed with lemons. I was disappointed in this, especially having Tomme Authur contribute. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Bottle courtesy of jimbowood, thanks! Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Very attractive aroma of bubble-gum, fruits, spices and brettanomyces. Excellent flavor of bubble-gum, fruits, spices and brettanomyces, it’s also very dry. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This fruit of Tomme and Dirk’s collaboration is extremely well done and worthwhile. Rastacouere (5552), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Successful collaboration between giants on a style (funky Belgian golden ales with American aroma hops) of growing popularity.
I like:
Beautiful sunny golden hue. Large 1-inch eternal head. Superior aroma. Fresh tangerine notes. Tea tannins. Floral^2. Fresh and green. The best lemonade I’ve ever had. High complexity. Best new beer in a while.
I dislike:
Still a bit more residual sugars than I prefer. Perhaps more bitterness would take care of that. A bit too cerealic/thick, pils malt needs crispiness, not roundness. Finishing soapiness. Out of place banana esters in mouth.

Nose is barnyard funk, lemons, yeast and grass. Flavor is more funk, grass, white grapes and yeast. Finish is soft and smooth and slightly watery. Very well balanced and crisp. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 11, 2008 Gold, small head. Malt, citrus and flower aroma. Rich amber malts, honey, apricot, lemon, pineapple, spice. Make sure to let this warm up a tad as the flavors are much more pronounced when not super cold. I’ve had this on tap and in bottles and it’s a winner! Sammy (3977), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Cloudy golden with white lace and head. Somewhat funky in taste, it’s an understated and balanced wild ale. Very great and medium mouthfeel.
