I get a strange chocolate flavor out of this, in addition to the hops,. Aroma is funky, sweet caramel, dull cocoa. Taste is citrus and crisp hops, like a pilsner and a West Coast pale ale had sex. This is funky, sweet cocoa, touches of brett, and yummy. I want to see this thing after a year or two. --re-rate-- 8/2/08 Keeping the rating as it is, more yeastiness and less hops out of it now.

Bottle Thanks to notalush and his Santa. Hazy honey golden with white head. Some spiciness in the aroma. Evident phenolics, honey, white pepper and some herbal qualities. Nice spiciness to the flavor. Has a peppery character and evident Belgian hops giving it a spicy edge. Very light lemon peel as well with a spicy biter finish. Tasty stuff, well crafted.

Thank you notalush and his Santa. Very good. Nice aroma. Sweet and spice balance. Nice and complex with some fruit and bitterness too. Taste is sweet too. Malty and spices like cloves and dried oranges and figs. Nice carbonation too helps all the mellow hops shine.

Bottle. Hazy golden in color with a white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Floral hoppy fruity aroma. Banana orange and honey notes. Malty and fruity hoppy flavor. Orange peel and caramel notes. Finish is sweet. Medium bodied. Very drinkable. Well balanced. Very nice.

Bottle from Santa - slightly hazy golden beer, with a moderate lace - very floral and herbal aroma, with orange rind and orange blossom honey - the flavor is quite similar, with strong herbs and orange peel - floral notes, citrus pulp - honey sweetness rides underneath, but strong herbs and wildflowers keep it in balance - very nice.

Bottle, thanks to notalush. Light orange / yellow pour, some white head. Aroma is some citrus, clove, some funk and yeast. Flavor is sweet / fruity malt, bubblegum, herbal spices. Pretty good, but subtle.

Thanks to notalush for sharing this one. Pale golden cloudy orange beer. Spicy and fruity aroma, orange peel, apricots and a soft earthy/spicy yeastiness. Rich fruitiness, light leathery beginnings of funkiness, but it’s not there yet. Herbal spiciness with loads of apricot and peaches. Softly hoppy finish. Nice beer.
