Bottle Thanks to notalush and his Santa. Hazy honey golden with white head. Some spiciness in the aroma. Evident phenolics, honey, white pepper and some herbal qualities. Nice spiciness to the flavor. Has a peppery character and evident Belgian hops giving it a spicy edge. Very light lemon peel as well with a spicy biter finish. Tasty stuff, well crafted.

Appearance: Pours a hazed, dark golden body with a white, creamy-looking head. Smell: A notably spicy, fragrant aroma generous with it’s amount of grass, pine, and Brett that inspires alot of green, earthy imagery. Taste: Faint pale malt sweetness with stronger flavors of pine and grass and flickers of white pepper and citrus. Finishes semidry with a slight lingering of bitterness and pepper. Am I mad in saying it’s like a beer-inspired chutney? Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Full, lively carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Drinkability: A pretty good beer, it’s release should be good news for any fans of the latest trend of hoppy Belgians.

Bottle: The aroma consists grapefruit, pineapple, floral/perfumey notes, and faint sour apple. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head. The flavor starts with pineapple and grapefruit combination that blends together very well along with some light yeastiness. There is some faint sour apple way in the background. The finish has moderate floral and grapefruit bitterness and spiciness. No sign of the 8.5% ABV in the flavor. Medium-bodied with lively, but soft carbonation.

750 ml bottle. Average grainy and frutiy aroma. Cabinated gold body with a creamy white head that stayed on top of body of beer, Flavor was average for a belgiun yeasty grain and some fruit. Alright with a bitter bite and seemed to have an alcohol effect on body. Denent brew.

I found this to be absolutely wonderful. A great spicy aroma and big bubbly head, the flavor is spicy and light. The finish is just a tad too dry but quite wonderful throughout. Even at 11 bucks a bottle, this is worth it.

25 oz bottle, via fordest. Poured a mostly clear dark gold to light copper body under a small off-white foamy head. The nose was pretty nice, a mix of fruitiness and a subtle funkiness, some notes of bready malt, and moderate hoppiness. Just the beginnings of what this beer might have become, the brett is there, but probably would have become much stronger with time. The flavor is a blend of slightly sweet maltiness, moderate leafy hops, and the soft brettiness on the finish. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy pleasant carbonation. Overall, I think this was a really nice complex beer, I wish I could have had a larger sample in a more private setting to really get into it, but then again, sharing is it’s own reward.

Bottle shared with mds, HogTownHarry, blankboy and tupalev - blankboy’s bottle. Aroma - wow! Very floral, along with notes of melon, cirtus and yeast. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour starts sweet and slightly medicinal, followed by fruit notes (grapefruit, melon, pineapple), and a herbal and dry finish. Very nicely done.
