Bottle from SL. Poured a golden to amber color, decent typical BSA head and lacing. The aroma was fruity, yeasty, some notes of alcohol. The flavor too was a little hot, but a nice fruity, yeasty BSA with a touch of hops in the finish. Light wheaty, even bretty sour and bitterness also present. A nice brew.

Pours a lightly hazy, golden-orange color. A small, frothy white head leaves behind minimal sudsy lacing that mostly rejoins the body. The aroma shows the signature, subdued dry funk of Brett, followed by bready, yeasty scents and notes of creamy lemon chiffon. The flavor shows ample, varied, acidic citrus components. Oranges and lemons come to the forefront, but the bready notes are present throughout. The Brett dries things out nicely. Medium bodied, smooth, and very easy to drink. Similar to Ommegeddon, though perhaps not quite as dry. If you told me this was a Saison, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second. Good stuff.

on tap at the maproom. pours hazed orange with white head. nose is peachy, orange, hoppy, and slightly medicinal. flavor is sweet peach, orange, apricot, medicinal, no alcohol noticied at all. hops are fruity but this isn’t very bitter and didn’t seem that fresh. decent stuff but would have been killer if there was no medicinal notes and a fresher hop taste.3.3.

1/2/09, 750ml bottle. big green apple aroma with some in the flavor, herbal notes, oh this is just awful, drain pour.2.8.

Brewmaster’s Collaboration

9/05/2007: Port Brewing Company / De ’Proef’-BrouwerijSignature Ale has a hazy golden color. The aroma is a bit spicy with some orange in it. The flavor is lightly malty with some citrus and yeast. There also seems to be a touch of almond flavor. The flavor isn’t bitter or bitey and no alcohol is noticeable in it either. The body of this beer is medium with an average palate. Overall this beer is nicely blended, well-balanced, and mild-mannered. Quite tasty!

750 mL corked and caged bottle (8.5% Alc. by Vol.) shared by Tmoney99 at the Dilly Deli. Thanks Tom! I really appreciate it. Rating #26 for this beer...

On tap at Lost Abbey/Pizza Port. I really enjoyed this beer: IPA goes to Belgium. Hoppy, tangy, w/ some funy a very nice brew. This would be an excellent beer to serve w/ Thanksgiving dinneer. great job.

Bottle; poured a pure gold with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma was of clove, yeast, must with some tartness. No one else picked up on any tartness in the aroma or flavor but I did. Not too pronounced, but had some characteristics of brett. It does seem from other ratings that it was bottled with some. Flavor was of bread, crystal malt, yeast, with a peppery finish. Good, not great beer.

Tap @ Toronado on 4/15/08. Hazy golden orange color with little to not head. A peach, grapefruit, banana, lemon and spiced flavors and aroma. A nice dry finish with a touch of lambic like elements.
