Like an American ale brewed in Belgium. Pours a light honey-amber with a decent, though fairly quickly dissipating head. Aroma of caramel malts and hops, with notes of vanilla. Palate is very Belgian - the carbonation is effervescent, but certainly not over-the-top like many Belgians can be. Flavor is mostly bitter hops, balanced nicely by light caramel malts and a bit of fruit. Dry. Delicious. Wish I could find something like it for less than $13.

Pours a light orange with a hint of red to it, with about a finger of stark white head. A lot of citrus and orange peel and spice in the odor. It tastes a lot softer and and lighter than I anticipated. Very sweet, with some candy malts in the taste. Very smooth and good.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Really quite complex for how light its color is. Flour, yeast, but also quite sweet and refreshing. The fruit flavors were too subtle for little ole me to single out, but this is a very unique brew.

Bottle shared by robert at stateline. Cloudy orange in color, decent head. Good aroma of hops and bready/yeast. Taste has alot of citrus hops in it, but still has the belgian qualities. Light texture which made it very easy to drink. I really like these hybrid beers. They should have their own catagory. Belgian IPA’s. It reminded me of Stones 080808, but not as good. Only because it wasnt that fresh. But overall a really good beer, that I would suggest to anyone. Thanks Robert for sharing.

750 ml bottle from the Port Brewing bottle shop Carlsbad: Hazy pale peach color with a medium white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity with a hint of pine and a wiff of alcohol. Flavor has layers of complexity with a touch of leather, citrus, honey, eucalyptus, pepper, grapefruit rind, spice and wood finishing with a dry, mild bitterness. Medium body is creamy smooth with moderate carbonation. Flavors really come out as this beer warms up.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Fruity (appricot/tropical) aroma with floral and spice tones. Floral and fruity flavors with yeast, malt, and a bit of bubblegum and spice. Didn’t notice the Brett at first, but it’s there at the finish and when you look for it. Tropical fruit shines. Malts are a bit doughy. Medium body, Carbonation a bit high. Very drinkable.

There’s a lot of phenols in this one, but it really works. Peppery, pretty dry. A little on the yeasty side. Fairly hoppy.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 750 ml caged corked bottle. Murky, dark orange pour with a soft silky white head that leaves an extremely thick coat of lacing and sticks around for quite a while. Nice aroma of apricots, peaches and hints of spices. Sour, yet sweet flavor with some apricots, spices - cinnamon and allspice comes to mind. Some brief citrus rounds it out in the back end. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy. Excellent - reminds me of a strong Saison.
