great! picked up at the Carlsbad PP shop: i initially gathered an aroma of spice (reminiscent of pumpkin), citrus (lemon--acidic quality), wheat, and almonds; the body is hazy, orange-straw, orange highlight, with a soapy white head that leaves little lace; the flavor hides the alcohol well, and has a more floral, less spicy quality than what the aroma initially provided; smooth and creamy; highly enjoyable though not what i expected for a "Belgian Strong Ale" because this *seemed* lighter, and *seemed* more appropriate for, well, but anyway... it’s great and more SoCal brewers need to collaborate with Europe.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy murky golden orange with a huge frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued, but nice - yeast, sugary malts, some fruits and some hops.

The flavor is sweet malts and fruits with a crisp hop finish with a good amount of bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a pretty different but nice Belgian. It’s a little too sweet for me.

Thanks to notalush for sharing this one. Pale golden cloudy orange beer. Spicy and fruity aroma, orange peel, apricots and a soft earthy/spicy yeastiness. Rich fruitiness, light leathery beginnings of funkiness, but it’s not there yet. Herbal spiciness with loads of apricot and peaches. Softly hoppy finish. Nice beer.

Pours out a orange/dark gold color with a small to moderate lacing white head. Aroma is of some fruit, hops, and slight brett. Taste is complex, banana, citrus hops and some yeast going on in there too, I got the brett a lot more on the aroma than the actual taste, none the less this was enjoyable.

750 ml bottle from AJ’s (Tucson) - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one finger thick fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is esters, spice, and light citrus. Flavor is much of the same. Beer leaves a little bitterness and zing to the palate. Medium to full body. A good beer.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a cloudy gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, floral, fruitiness, light barnyard and some white wine notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, light apple and a hint of barnyard funk with a crisp dry finish.
