bottled. Very floral and perfume nose, taste is a tongue wack!, I mean really. But as I slowly get more adjusted the hops stand strong, then weird flower/perfume/cologne things going on, then Belgian yeast. Almost, but not, a Belgian ipa. Complex, but so easy to drink that its hard to be a session ale & it was like $15 a 750, so... Amazing description on bottle, impressive, also see Captain Cougar’s.

Reviewed 5/21/2009 (Bottle): Pours a golden light brown clear colored body, with a big foamy white head, good lacing, somewhat lasting. Funky aroma, some grains, some mustiness, not much hop aroma. Sweet and spicy smelling too. Spicy, sweet taste. A little drying, almost a little sour. Pretty tasty, refreshing. Carbonated.

Bottle Thanks to notalush and his Santa. Hazy honey golden with white head. Some spiciness in the aroma. Evident phenolics, honey, white pepper and some herbal qualities. Nice spiciness to the flavor. Has a peppery character and evident Belgian hops giving it a spicy edge. Very light lemon peel as well with a spicy biter finish. Tasty stuff, well crafted.

I get a strange chocolate flavor out of this, in addition to the hops,. Aroma is funky, sweet caramel, dull cocoa. Taste is citrus and crisp hops, like a pilsner and a West Coast pale ale had sex. This is funky, sweet cocoa, touches of brett, and yummy. I want to see this thing after a year or two. --re-rate-- 8/2/08 Keeping the rating as it is, more yeastiness and less hops out of it now.

Brewmaster’s Collaboration

9/05/2007: Port Brewing Company / De ’Proef’-BrouwerijSignature Ale has a hazy golden color. The aroma is a bit spicy with some orange in it. The flavor is lightly malty with some citrus and yeast. There also seems to be a touch of almond flavor. The flavor isn’t bitter or bitey and no alcohol is noticeable in it either. The body of this beer is medium with an average palate. Overall this beer is nicely blended, well-balanced, and mild-mannered. Quite tasty!

750 mL corked and caged bottle (8.5% Alc. by Vol.) shared by Tmoney99 at the Dilly Deli. Thanks Tom! I really appreciate it. Rating #26 for this beer...

750ml bottle. Very floral on the nose with just a small hint of bretty funk. Clean and soapy. Citrus oil. Candle wax. Cut flowers. Pours bright copper with a big white head leaving excellent sticky lacing. Very soapy on the tongue. Hints of flowers, just a touch of funky yeast, powdered sugar, pear, wax. Interesting with a lighter bready malt base. Excellent carbonation on top of an oddly waxy textured beer. Extra points for for the collaborative effort. Thanks Mike!

750 mL bottle - clear gold with white head and lots of lacing on the top 1/4; aromas of yeast and sort of like apple juice; fruity flavors are slightly bitter, but fresh and smooth; an interesting brew

Bottle: Pour was a deep gold with a large white head. A bit more sweet on the nose than I expected with a focus on candied sugar, some floral and citrus hoppiness and a noticeable brett character. Nice carbonation, flavor started out sweet and candy-like but then takes a right turn towards a very dry, floral tone. Very good stuff.
