Corked and caged bottle. Grainy aroma with notes of yeast and honey. Hazy, full yellow body with a soapy, fizzy white head. Crisp, tart taste, lemon citrus and wheaty grain, has a lot in common with a wit or Weizen. Medium body with some spicy notes to complement the citrus. Bready dry finish. Creamy and very refreshing! My first spelt brew, not as good as its buckwheat-based sister, but certainly worth a go.

250 ml bottle. Looks like a regular Witbier; Biggish white coarse head with big bubbles over a corbonatied cloudy light straw-yellow body. Wheat, spices, yeast and lemon in the aroma. Medium sweet, grainy, light fruity and yeasty flavor. Notes of unusual spices (spelt flavors?). Very mildly hopped. Light body. Clean mouthfeel. A little strange... but quite nice.

250ml bottle. A spelt beer with a moderate level of haze to a yellow body under a huge, soapy foam, rapidly reduced to a filmy layer. The aroma comes as a mix of grain and fruits. Spicy hops, wheat, cheese and bittersweet yeast are all featured items of the moderate flavour. Foamy mouthfeel (11.07.2007).

Bottle. (25cl) It pours a yellow-ish, very sparkling body, topped by a huge, foamy, lasting white head. The aroma is fruity, with some spices and wheat, that being the spelt off course, and some yeast. A weak hint of banana is also present. The yeast is more prominent in the mouth, putting the cereal more in the background. It is fruity and slightly spices as well. I find the carbonation a little heavy, and the body is maybe a bit thin, and quite dusty. It finishes a bit in a hurry, with fruityness, citrus, banana and some spicyness. It is a refreshing beer, but a bit too carbonated. (070715)

250 ml bottle. Cloudy pale white colour. Tall white fluffy head. Left the yeast slurry in the bottle. Lots of carbonation. Dusty. Yeasty straw-like aroma. Very typical Belgian phenols, much like the ones typically found in tripels. Hints of citrus. Crisp texture with lots of bubbles. Light-bodied and very refreshing. Wheat, well spelt obviously, and coriander flavours with a note of lemon. A very nice beer.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Some sediment. Fruity and yeasty aroma with a moderate spicy note, mainly from coriander. Fruity flavours, banana, ending on a dryish, spicy note. Medium to light body. A very harmonious beer, related to Hoegaarden, but with more complex, yet subtle spiciness.
