Commercial Description:
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

Sweet, fruity, apply aroma. Rich grassy taste, great unfiltered mouthfeel. A truly and uniquely enjoyable beer.

This is like a Belgian strong ale without as much of the typical Belgian spiciness. I approve. The aroma and flavor is marked by an appley sweetness, but yields to a sort of tart bite at the finish. Some smokeyness abides amongst the fruit as well. Cloudy amber color with a thick, even, tan head. I should add that this bottle was a gift from my roommate and his girlfriend on my birthday.

Hazy copper, big sustained creamy head. The aroma is sharply malty, yeasty with a hint of sourness, and has a wildflower hop scent hovering over it all. Very soft mouthfeel. The flavor is a soft, sweet malt with wild grasses, light brown sugar, pears, and gentle seasoning. Very refreshing with a surprisingly dry finish. Worth doing again.

This was a very interesting and tasty beer. A nice bronze/orange color with a nice sized head that stays fairly thick. The aroma hits you with yeast and some earthy scents. Entirely enjoyable and I’d have to agree with 1 previous reviewer who said it reminded him of a Flemish Sour because it did have characteristics of said style. I enjoyed this very much and look forward to trying again.

Dark copper body with some haze and a huge light khaki colored head. The aroma had fresh bread dough along with some apples and a little note of sweet hay. The taste had some peanuts with grass and a little hint of chocoalte. There is a dry hay finish and some whole wheat bread flavor. Light and refreshing in the mouth despite it’s bread character. Interesting.

At bootopia. Aroma was interestingly sour and spicy. Pour was a hazy amber with an off white tinged head. Flavor was good, sugar and cinnamon. Palate was okay seemed to match the brew. Overall not bad.

This beer was a medium hazy gold with a small, lasting frothy head. Aromas included malty grain and hoppy esters of lemon and grass with notes of barn yard and horse blanket. The flavor was sweet, but unengaging. The palate hovered somewhere between watery and velvety with fizzy carbonation.

cloudy chunky orange/amber color, decent sized off white head that had a good hang time then faded slowly to leave a decent lace behind. The aroma was malty and some what fruity with a grainyiness coming through and a strong yeast side. The flavor was not at all that great, but then i’m not a real fan of these BDG’s but i’ll be fair in the rating.Fruity in flavor with some decent graininess and some light hops the flavor is a but much at first but it smooths out towards the end.I guess it has to be tryed atleast once but IMO i think i’ll leave this one alone and not try it again, the brew is just not my bag at all.
