Commercial Description:
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

Pours a hazy light brown with a small lacy head. Smells yeasty and fruity with hints of apple. Taste is quite unusual. It’s grainy but not in texture, just tastes alot like raw grain. Sweet undertones, lightly fruity. Bitter finish. Unmistakeable flavor of buckwheat throughout. Once I got used to this new flavor it wasn’t a bad brew. Doubt I would get this one much but it is certified organic. Would be an interesting beer for thanksgiving of a dinner with farm fresh foods.

25.4 oz bottle from Mr. Liquor. Poured a orangy yellow with medium particals floating around. Nice creamy off-white head that lasted the whole glass. Lacing all the way down as well. Malty aromas, mostly caramel. Dry flavors of alchol mostly, with a bit of metal in the aftertaste. Slightly better than the Joseph.

Wheaty, grainy and fruity aroma. Amber coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is sweet, bit malty, fruity and grainy. Weird brew. But okay.

Nice wheat note with a hint of flowers and orange blossoms. soft slightly grainy mouthfeel, with a bit of acidity. Apple and pear notes are very soft with the wheat dominated palate.

bottle. pours a very hazy honey golden orange with a rocky white headthat diminishes in size but does last, laces well. Great color! initial very big lemon, vinegar, buckwheat? champagne, yeasty (champagne yeast?) reminds me a little of Chimay bleu. very nice palate...lots of sediment though (not a bad thing, just dont drink it). Very unique...drunk best at cool-to warm as the flavors shift at diff. temperatures. Good!

(750ml bottle) Huge off-white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, bready, some citric, light herbal. Taste is medium sweet, bread, some caramel, orange, light lemon, herbal faint metallic in the swallow. Smooth medium body.
