Commercial Description:
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

Bottled thansk to ?, rbesg07. Alround very spicey wheat, infact incredibly wheaty, which hints of tart fruitness. Spicey finish.

Caged and corked bottle, 100th rating for this bottle. Deep ruby-mahogany pour under a fizzly tanned head. Bit gushy. Aroma is slightly acidic and grainy, vaguely fruity. Slightly tart taste, sticky with great bready dryness and a touch of pepper. Lightly spicy, black cherries and red berries, but classy and restrained. Lemon and malt. Crisp and clean, lightish body seems a bit fuller than it is, aftertaste is dry with that great new specialty grain taste. Hops are in the bg but essential. Satin-smooth. My first brew made from buckwheat - I’d like to have more!

250 ml bottle. Pale golden colour. Small haze. Medium-sized white head with nice retention. Crisp and powdery wheat-like aroma with a nice green fruity aroma. Pungent rounded yeasty character. Fizzy carbonation. Medium to light body. Smooth powdery grainy flavours. Some residual sugars, but a light hop bitterness balances this nicely. Overall a very light and drinkable beer. For a buckwheat (gluten free?) beer this is a really nice one.

250ml bottle. Frothy, white head, mostly fading away. Hazy, light orange body. Moderate smell of sweet tropical fruit and coriander. Basically the taste is focused on bitter fruits supported by spicy tartness. Dry and rather abrupt ending. Silky mouthfeel (11.07.2007).

Sweet malt, molasses, rich caramel aroma. Pours dark brown with a lasting tan head. Smooth, sweet, roasty, caramel, with a hop spice in the background, interesting brew.

Bottle. Big white head on top of a cloudy yellow beer. Spicy fruit aroma, that is more complex than the coriander overdose. Pleasant fruit flavours that dries out towards the finish. Some bread. Fizzy. Refreshing and more complex than your usual witbier.

Big white head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Sharpish alcoholic spice aroma with barnyard notes. Sharp, spicy, wheaty taste with grassy notes. Carbonation in the mouth. Thin, sharp mouthfeel. Bitterish, empty aftertaste. A little different, but not very impressive. (0.25l bottle.)

Bottled. Dark amber colour with a rich fluffy beige foam. Sweet black cherries, almond-paste, anise, black pepper with a de Dolle like yeast character. Flavour of yeast with notes of black currant, leaves abd toasted grains. Short finish of currant-leaves and wheat.
