| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Caged and corked bottle, 100th rating for this bottle. Deep ruby-mahogany pour under a fizzly tanned head. Bit gushy. Aroma is slightly acidic and grainy, vaguely fruity. Slightly tart taste, sticky with great bready dryness and a touch of pepper. Lightly spicy, black cherries and red berries, but classy and restrained. Lemon and malt. Crisp and clean, lightish body seems a bit fuller than it is, aftertaste is dry with that great new specialty grain taste. Hops are in the bg but essential. Satin-smooth. My first brew made from buckwheat - I’d like to have more! Gr0ve (1425), Oslo, Norway
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2007 250 ml bottle. Pale golden colour. Small haze. Medium-sized white head with nice retention. Crisp and powdery wheat-like aroma with a nice green fruity aroma. Pungent rounded yeasty character. Fizzy carbonation. Medium to light body. Smooth powdery grainy flavours. Some residual sugars, but a light hop bitterness balances this nicely. Overall a very light and drinkable beer. For a buckwheat (gluten free?) beer this is a really nice one. Spicy fruit aroma, that is more complex than the coriander overdose. Pleasant fruit flavours that dries out towards the finish. Some bread. Fizzy. Refreshing and more complex than your usual witbier. larsga (3000), Oslo, Norway
