Commercial Description:
SARA has a dark red-brown color, is well hopped, and spicy at the same time. It has a hearty exclusive special taste with sour undertones, accentuated by a very rich aroma, which both come from the buckwheat.

DISCLAIMER: this is the brown, organic (biologique) version of Sara. Note that all versions of Sara are organic, also if it isn’t mentioned on the bottle.

This would definitely be my beer of choice if I had to drink Gluten free beer. Teh buckwheat simulates regular beer grain almost exactly. its got a sharp and jumpy like flavor to it. its medium body make this a very drinkable beer to enjoy

The aroma is sweet and yeasty with herbs. The appearance is deep amber, brown with a small head. The flavor is not bad but not great. It tastes malty in an unusual way that I can only guess is buckwheat. Basically it’s sweet and slightly woody and earthy. The palate is sticky but a little thin. Overall it’s interesting but not great.

750mL bottle, no date. Pours a slightly hazy burnt orange with a three finger beige head. The agitator on my glass is making crazy bubbles. Aroma of Belgian yeast, powdered candy sugar, spices, citrus, a bit of plastic, and some dust. Flavor was a fair amount of citrus tang and funky tang, overripe fruits, some yeast and old dust. Semidry finish with minimal bitterness. Moderate sharp carbonation with a medium body. This fell apart after the smell.

Bottle... Murky, dark amber ale with tons of sediment and a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma and flavor are fruity, vinous and musty with low-key sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes dusty and fruity.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Sweet and grapy aroma. Has some fruitnotes and light spice. Flavour of fruits, grape and sweet. Is a bit too old. Thin. Grapish fruity end.

Bottle. Amber colour with a big beige head. Fruity, citrus, spicy and hoppy aroma and a sweet fruity, spicy and light metallic taste. Medium body with a sweet finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a huge, but due to high carbonation, fast disappearing ornage head. The aroma is sweet with notes of herbs and fruit, a great mixture of both - reminds me of a walk on a warm sunny summer day in southern Europe amongst citrus trees, olive trees, sage bushes, and loads of different other spice plants and bushes. Compared to the aroma, the flavor is boring, it is sweet malty with strong notes of berries, but also with a spicy note of sage and cloves, and the mouthfeel is a bit watery, before a slight alcohol burn end of the experience.

Bottled. Copper coloured. Nothing but celery in the aroma. Extremely sweet flavour of celery and other vegetables. A very strange and quite unpleasant brew.
