Traded for a 22-oz bottle in the ABA ’07 Annual Meeting beer bottle swap. Pours a brownish amber brew with a thick and lumpy reddish tan head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind a nice lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malt with fruity scents of oranges, molasses, brown sugar and some spicy floral hops. Taste is a little above average in carbonation, a hint of tartness, medium bodied with flavors of roasted malt, light citrus, and some roasted nuts. Finish is slightly metalic with a roasted ripe berry and mild bitter aftertaste. Just received word that this brew had retired a few months ago.

Pours a dark copper mahogany with a frothy light tan head. Aroma of slightly toasty caramel malts with a lot of tart vinegar and sauerkraut notes. Body is fizzy and thin with a slightly sweet caramel flavor and earthy acidic tartness. This brewery has some terrible infection issues and I hope they either correct them or stop brewing.

Poured a hazy dark amber with a few small chunks. The head was thin and off-head. The aroma was fruity and malty with moderate notes of of pickles. The flavor was pretty tart and dry but not that bad. It smelled much worse.

On Tap at Siletz Roadhouse, Siletz OR. Pours out a hazy amber topped with a small head. i picked up some fruit and caramel on this one. They are no longer going to make this MOJO ALE due to a copy right law. I think it was LeftHand who started the lawsuit.

22 OZ bottle from Capital market. Pours a hazy dark amber/bown with a large beige slowly dissipating head that leaves a LOT of lace on the glass. Strong aroma of lemon, cherries, and yeast. Tastes just like it smells, with a strong sour/tartlemon/cherry aftertaste with some hop bitterness and a little roastiness that follows. Very tart. Well carbonated. Pretty refreshing drink. Seems more appropriate for spring than winter, but whatever..This brewery continues to make some VERY unique beers.

This would make a really great session strong ale. Medium bodied, with a brilliant amber coloring, and a nice beige cloudy head. Aromatics of fruit, toffee, caramel, some woody smokiness, but the body is really lacking in anything, needs more of something, way too light on the mouthfeel.
