Aroma – Has a decent barley wine aroma with some dactyl and off aromas mixed in.
Appearance – Dark Amber in color, Hazy with a light head.
Flavor – The last Siletz I have in the refrigerator. Nasty taste right from the start. The flavor was infected and just terrible.
Palate – Bad Mouthfeel, Off texture with a Infected finish.
Overall – Two words… Drain Pour This will be the last Siletz I buy or try for years to come. NASTY…

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2007 2006 vintage bomber pours deep dark amber with lasting mocha head and nice lacing. This has the biggest and longest lasting barleywine head I can remember seeing. The aroma comes off as olive, dark fruit, a bit of oxidation, tartness and mild roasted malt sweetness. The taste kicks off with olives, red wine mixed with caramel maltiness, plums, figs and grape tartness. The taste begins rich and thick then ends dry and a bit thin. I really enjoy the caramel maltiness and toffee running through the taste along with faint chocolate. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Having this with Kaylee the first night we are drinking together. Nose of fruit bread. Pours hazy ruby. The moderate pumpkin tan head is thick, fully lasting and very creamy leaves fair lace. Holy shit! This is a biggin. Huge deep and full palate. Wish I woulda let this one age, maybe I’ll buy another. Light acidity accompanies the heavy alcohol sweetness and warmth. The finish is grainy and slightly bitter and spicy. The full chewy body is soft and syrupy. The finish is slightly sticky. cking (1023), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Another discounted bomber, bottled in January of 2006 so this has had some time to develop. Pours thick and oily, color is a reddish brown. Lasting full head with incredibly heavy lacing. Aroma is mostly thick, dark, sweet malts. Scents of dark cherries and raisins are noticeable. There is a robust port wine like quality as well. Tangy-sweet on the palate along with a moderate bitterness. Extremely full bodied, soft and smooth the entire time. It is mellow and drinks nice, although it did start to get overly sweet toward the end. Flavor is a mountain of blended malts, very chewy and creamy. Red grapes, black cherries, plums, raisins, and some sweet chocolate. Lots of flavor and some nicely noticed hops balanced the flavor. The hops are lightly bitter and contributed a nice underlying floral flavor. Very robust and intriguing. hopdog (5561), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deeper mahagony color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of dark fruits (cherries and raisins), toffee, wood, roast, nutty, and chocolate. Tastes of dark cherries, toffee, and caramel. Had a tart cherry finish (going south due to the age?).
