Poured a dark, dark brown color with an averaged sized tan head. Nice aroma of roasted malts, coffee, oatmeal, chocolate and lactose. Taste was a let down from the nice aroma. Tastes of bitter coffee grounds, lighter roast and it had an underlying sourness to it.

Poured a dark brownish, red color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of oatmeal, cream, some lactose, chocolate and light roasted malts. Taste of roasted malts, and tons of coffee beans; some sourness as well. It was overly carbonated. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to the aroma. Perhaps a re-rate is necessary.

Weird lactic sourness to this one that really screwed it up. Medium/light body with some decent roastiness. Appearance was what you’d expect, dark brown with a good sized head. Will need to try this one again.

Bottle. Very deep brown colored, near black with just hints of ruby showing through when backlit. Fair tannish head with some lacing. Aroma is huge on roasted malt, bordering on burnt in the nose. Medium to full bodied, lightly creamy on the palate, perhaps not as full as possible. Overroasted grain flavor, a touch of oatmeal and a decent hop bitterness towards the finish make this a solid stout.

(22oz bottle) Clear, very dark red body topped by big brown head that lasts. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, some chocolate, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, coffee, some grapefruit, roasty, light chocolate, cherry. Coffee flavor lingers well past the swallow. Watery medium body with minimal acidity. Full of flavors, but the amalgamation thereof falls short, in part because the palate seems at odds with them.

A pretty intense stout. The bitter hops radiat, but it goes down thin and smooth. Worth trying for sure.

This stout is all about the bitter chocolate. Very chocolate in the aroma. Beer is fairly watery and thin, deep crimson in appearance. Flavor resonates with bitter chocolate, slight burnt malt, some velvet to the flavor, and some hops make their presence felt. Watery, but tasty.
