Bottle shared by decaturstevo. Poured black with a tan head that left light lacing and a thin layer lasting. Aromas of roast, caramel, and some coffee. The flavor finds coffee, chocolate and a large amount of roast. Medium body, roast coffee aftertaste, slight bitter ending.

Bottle from Steveo. Thanks. Pours out a brown color with a thick brown head on it. Smell is sweet, caramel, toffee, chocolate, and oats. The taste is pretty thick, I thought this might have been an impy at first, but realized it wasnt. Sweet and full bodied with plenty of chocolate and roasted malt flavors. Maybe I was getting a buzz but I think this one was pretty good. I think I was in the minority at the tasting though.

Bottle from Decaturstevo. Pours a deep midnight brown with a thick beige head. Aroma of coffee grounds and chocolate. Medium bodied and semi dry. Flavor of dark roasted malts with a somewhat acrid bitterness and off flavor on the finish.

Oxidationfest Tasting at illinsmitty’s curtesy decaturstevo. Dark brown pour with dark tan head. Sweet upfront flavor fades to a sourish coffee . Very roasty, almost burnt malt finish. Not a fan of this one either.

BottleNearly black with a dense tan head. Mild aroma is cocoa powder and coffee. Smooth creamy body. Flavor is mildly sweet chocolate with some sour cold oatmeal flavor. May be a QC problem here.

Bottle: 1 inch of "stout"; 2 fists full of white head. Every bottle I have opened from this brewery has tasted infected. Mouth full of vinegar and chocolate. Very sour. Had to dump this one.

Bottle. A almost black beer with a beige head. The aroma is of roasted malt, heavy on the coffee side. The taste is much the same, but with some chocolate and sourness.Medium body with a dry, light sour finish.
