12oz bottle-pours a retaining light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-molasses/licorice/anise, secondary hops backbone with some acidity, dark fruit. Taste is dark malt, acidic/earthy hops bite, then coffee, some dark fruit. OK carbonation. Thanks decaturstevo for sharing.

May 3, 2008 Bottle. A almost black beer with a beige head. The aroma is of roasted malt, heavy on the coffee side. The taste is much the same, but with some chocolate and sourness.Medium body with a dry, light sour finish.

Apr 21, 2008 Black with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and wood. Sweet flavor with hard roasted malt, coffee, dark bitter chocolate and hops. Ends dry and bitter.
