Commercial Description:
Excessively Extreme! Our India Pale Ale is a robust, deep golden ale with a distinctive crisp bitterness provided by three different hop varieties. The floral hop aroma is provided by East Kent Goldings. This beer is not intended for the faint at heart. Excellent with grilled fish or some of your favorite mild cheeses.

Bomber courtesy my son! Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a thick and lacy white head. Aroma of flowers and weed. A bit of bread and citrus in the taste, just before the crisp and unrelentingly bitter pine and cedar finish.

Sampled on draught at the brewpub in Siletz, Oregon during the ABA 07 Beer Tour. From a "spank’n" new keg, pours a a semi-hazy golden amber brew with a over-flowing off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is very faint, could just pick up some leafy and herb-like hops, some multi-grain malt and a touch of citrus zest. Taste is highly carbonated and medium bodied with flavors of sour grapefruit with a metalic texture. Finish is slightly tart with a lingering bitterness.

Nose of light spice & grain, very pilsenerish. As the brew warms, light resin and pine come through. Pours a very sparkling copper amber with golden highlights. The fully lasting rocky creamy off-white head leaves exceptional lace. The brew is bitter from the start with light acidity and a moderately bitter finish. The medium palate is creamy and soft, the finish feels astringent. More session than specialty.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this bottle with us at the Tennessee Spring(ish) Tasting! Big gusher! Way over carbonated. Big white head over a hazy, medium yellow body. Weak malt, with a bit of fruity help from the yeast, and very little hops comprise the aroma. The flavor is out of balance, the body is weak and is slightly bitter with no big malt or hop contributions. Disappointing.

(Bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a ridiculously large, long-lasting, rocky white head with good lacing. Aroma of florals and grass. Flavor of floral hops, graham crackers, and malt with an excessively bitter finish.

I did NOT like this beer. The aroma especially was just terrible, smelled like sweet, bitter plastic. The taste was, thankfully, a little better, but not much. The plastic burps that followed the highly-carbonated monstrosity were not welcome as well. I’m contemplating drain pour at this time

This beer is excessively carbonated, producing easily a four-finger thick pale tan colored head despite a careful pour. The head slowly recedes with a rocky, canyoned surface and lots of lacing on the sides of the glass. The beer is hazy, orangish copper color. The aroma is fairly light with soft orange cream notes, touches of pine and a bit of harsh, sharp astringent green hoppiness in the finish (even this is fairly subtle). Dusty malt notes and a dry graininess are also noticeable in the aroma.

Yep the beer is quite carbonated, it foams quite a bit as it hits my mouth. The beer is dry, tart and citrusy; these combine to give this a lemon-like flavor, perhaps more reminiscent of lemon peel. Just a bit fuller than light bodied, with a touch of malt fullness. The beer finishes with a sharp, astringent bitterness that overwhelms the beer a bit.

This beer really needs a bunch more malt character, not necessarily so much that this beer becomes malty, but it needs some malt to support the hop focus that is requisite for an IPA. In the end this seems like it has fermented too much of the malt out.

3/27/07 poured from a bottle. Poured a dirty yellowish body. Do not remember the head, however do remember it was very lacey. Not much to say about this one, as you can see by my marks it was very middle of the road.
