Commercial Description:
Excessively Extreme! Our India Pale Ale is a robust, deep golden ale with a distinctive crisp bitterness provided by three different hop varieties. The floral hop aroma is provided by East Kent Goldings. This beer is not intended for the faint at heart. Excellent with grilled fish or some of your favorite mild cheeses.

Upfront SMELL and initial flavor are MALT-the best malt flavor i’ve tasted. Then wakeup, you suddenly are reminded that this is an IPA. Hopheads will not be disappointed.

Pours hazy gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is floral and piney, standard IPA fare. Taste is a little lackuster but gives way to a nice bitter aftertaste that is wonderfully long lasting. Not a phenomenal IPA but good.

Subtle floral aroma. Nice golden hazy color. Creamy but smooth, medium bodied, with a solid bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Medium amber in color. Nice persistant off-white head. Great lacing. Sweet malty aroma with a nice floral hop presence. Good balance of malt and hop. Long slow hop bitterness builds up and never really fades. Chips and hot sauce don’t cut the hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Fair.

Bottle: Courtesy of wolhfs. Very malty. Lots of peach and citrus in the aroma. Hops are present in the aroma but for the most part are dominated by the sweetness and malt. Pours a hazy reddish-orange with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Some sediment. Mlaty up front with a moderate hop finish that builds into a huge floral/pine hop aftertaste that lingers for quite some time.

I love copper colored IPAs. Nice head with slight floral aroma. Zesty hop flavor, slight lemon zing that lingers. Rich and malty, kind of creamy, with a nice British base to balance the PacNW hops. A nice beer and enjoyable.

Excessively extreme? Not so much. Aroma is barely detectable, flavor is harsh, astringent, and not appealing. Watery mouthfeel. Not a good IPA.

Pale amber with frothy white head. Everything was weak. The aroma was weak grapefruit, pine, caramel. Thin body and watery texture. Flavor was weak and watery. I’d rather be up shit’s creek without this paddle.
