Commercial Description:
A truly unique beer made from the finest Northwest barley malts and Spruce tips. We use a small amount of hops for bittering and all the rest of the flavor comes from tender, new-growth Sitka spruce tips. Amazingly fruity and full bodied!

Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like some mystical forest, with tons of spruce. Tastes like pinetrees with a slight fruitiness. Interesting brew to try.

Mahogney color. Fruity malt aroma with a hint of spruce. Fruity, melon malt flavor. Hints of mint and lemon as well. Unusal bitterness in the finish. I expected more of a pine/spruce flavor. Interesting and worth a try.

Tap@Siletz brewpub. I don’t what the flavour is meant to be, but i suppose its spruce (never had spruce before). Odd flavour, tastes like a combination of pickles and aromatic hops, quite odd.

This is indeed different. Aroma is sweet malt, spruce in the nose. Pours dark red with long lasting head. Flavor is sweet sticky malt. lighter body than I anticipated. Mild hop/pine flavor. Somewhat fruity and dry. Overall, just to thickly sweet for me.

This is not a beer, this is one of those tree air-fresheners you put in your car. I admit I like the smell, but that's it. Seriously, lick one of those air fresheners and compare...

Aroma is sweet malt with a twinge of hops and spruce. Beer pours cooper brown with barely off white head that is lightly retained. Beer is thin to the point of being watery. Can taste the spruce a little bit, but the other flavors present are unpleasant. Drain pour.

(bottle) thought I'd give it a try. Nice head. Deep copper color. Pine hops aroma. So far, so good. Then the taste. Bleh. It tastes "green;" no hops to speak of; some other assorted spices. Not my cup of tea, but try it--obviously some people like it.
