Commercial Description:
Born of humble beginnings and of Scotch Heritage, Fat Bastard quietly arrived one winter day at Silver City Brewery in 2001. Exceptionally smooth and malty with a touch of peat character, Fat's legend quickly grew. Today, Fat stands astride the brewing landscape a behemoth brew, uncompromising and unavoidable. Bottled. Clear nut brown. Appley toffee aroma. Sweet and mellow with medium body and sticky mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Warming perhaps, but it’s too cloying.

Very dark chestnut colour. Slightly toffeeish, slightly minty aroma. Chewy malt flavours. Some flowery accents amidst all the toffee lend character. Earthy maltiness in the finish.
