BückDich (4497), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 9, 2008 Tap @ Brewery: Copper, light head and lacing. Nose of cascade. No dry hops? Bitter and malty, so what... A little innovation please with PNW IPAs.
IrishBoy (2056), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 25, 2008 Bomber from Safeway, Port Angeles; Nose has grassy and flowery hops with a hint of pine, caramel and a lihjt vanilla note; orange-copper with a good sized orange tinged, beige head that laces lightly; flavor has hop bitterness, a pine note, and a good dose of caramel malt; finishes very lightly bitter. Good rendition of an IPA! BillKismet (1356), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bronzed-amber-tinged color with clinging head. Piercing hop aroma of columbus and cascades. WOWY! Holy IBU’s! Strong pine, and some pineapple and grapefruit and a little catty.Quite a piney punch rounded out by pineapple and grapefruit. Bitterness profile is fairly clean making this one perilous. I would definitely seek this one out again. fakepurseninja (444), Sammamish, Washington, USA Jun 12, 2008 Solid drink. Clear orange body with a big, pillowy orange/ecru head. Big malty pale ale back bone - nice caramel essence with a moderate dry finish. Very nice hop lineup. one of my favorite blends. A tad on the thinner side of medium bodied - almost watery, but with enough favor and hop bitterness to pull it out. Mild pine essence with very little citrus notes. Some nuttiness and soft floral bits. Overall a very solid, ennjoyaable PNW IPA. after4ever (1651), Brier, Washington, USA Apr 6, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Crystal clear medium copper with thin whitish rim and bits of lace. Mild caramelly nose. Medium body, very soft carb. Pine and floral mid-palate, mild finish. Lacking in boldness and personality, but perfectly drinkable.
