Nose has some banana esters to it, a bit strange, but not offensive in any way. Sweet throughout with more banana that mixes with the caramel and vanilla notes. Hops were still fairly strong, but seeing as it is an 08 vintage will probably settle a bit with time. Decent, but not one of the standouts of the fest.

I like the brewery a lot, but I have to confess to being a bit disappointed with this one. Dark pour, nice full head. Musty aroma, not entirely in a good way, almost flat on the tongue. Dark coffee and cherry, again musty, just a hint sour. I was unable to get excited about it. carruthm (1138), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a ruby copper with a dense head. Great-looking. Ripe fruits, even a slightly tart aroma. Great hop / malt balance - this is really, really smooth. Not too potent - extremely drinkable - but at the same time, not outstanding in any way.
