| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Sampled on draught at Silver Creek: pours a clear copper with a medium sized white head. Plenty of floral aroma, and strong hops. Taste is light and bubbly, citrusy all around, with pleasent grapefruit flavors. Finishes rather light for an IPA, but very nice anyway. couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

dark amber with a slight haze, fine beige head, lots of thick lace,
sweet dark caramel malt aroma with a combination of citrus and earthy hops,
sweet caramel malt flavor well balanced with the earthy hops, the great hop flavor leads to a tasty long bitter finish, between the dark caramel and the earthy hops that makes a light barley wine

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewpub in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear reddish amber brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that slowly dissolves that leaves behind an excellent lacing and lumpy head top. Aroma of sweet grapefruit and plenty of it. Other scents picked up are orange zest and some caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with more grapefruit, sweet toffee with a piney character. Finish is extreme bitter, piney and some light caramel malt aftertaste. When doing a flight sampler at the brewpub, try this one last. The bitterness is so over-powering, the taste buds may need some recharging. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2006 Dank copper color, tan head. Crisp, full hop (simcoe?) aroma. Sime minerally water or odd bitter component. I occaisionally get chlorine. But, some nice sweet caramel for fun, along with some Pez. Hops have a sharp crystally thin in them... good overall IPA. Plenty of hops.
