esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Oct 12, 2008 On tap at Silver Creek Brewpub. Mildly hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of toffee, toasted malt, grains and light fruit. Taste of mild citrus, toasted malt and nuts. Body is a little watery and the malt tastes a little burnt. It’s okay, but the least favorite on my visit here. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Oct 11, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Pours a clear amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a fine film and thin off-white ring. Aroma of light fruity character with some roasted multi-grain malt and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, very little carbonation with flavors of apple/pear fruit, a touch of caramel and some floral essence. Finish is semi-sweet with a light fruity aftertaste and no bitterness. The 2007 vintage had a more caramel malt character; the 2008 vintage had a light fruity character.
