3 z’s in scrizzz bvc! Last beer of the night, I didn’t even get to it, I fell asleep in the chair, but after4ever and bvc left the last 1/3 of the bottle on the counter. 10 hours later it still poured a great sticky yellowed head with very good lacing over dark chestnut brown. Earthy dusty caramel nose. Dense body, very rich and a powerfully floral perfumey hop finish. Held up very nicely!

22. Thanks, Scrizzz! Pours a hazy dark brown with a dense, creamy tan ring of foam on top. Nice sweet brown sugar and molasses nose. Beautiful for a brown to succeed this way--on the sweet side--when so many of the better browns tend to do it by bittering it up and making more like a darker house IPA or APA. This one sticks firmly on the sweet side and still pulls it off. Creamy medium body with well-placed carb. Caramel, toast, and brown sugar on the mid-palate. Very nice little brown. Usual corny Art 101 label from Silver Moon.

22oz bottle shared by scrizz. Clear dark brown with nice khaki head. Nice nutty vanilla nose with some oh so slight maltiness. Sweet and nutty up front for sure and you can really get the molasses. Very enjoyable brown ale foe sure.

Bottle; poured a reddish brown color with a light brown head. Aroma was quite nice caramel, brown malt, floral/citrus/NW hops, with some yeast. Flavor was quite hoppy for the style; more earthy than citrus or floral. Some brown malt as well with a bit of caramel and molasses. Quite flavorful for the style, but not great flavor in my opinion.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a cloudy brown with slight red tinges with a medium sized off white head and moderate lacing. Just the color and looks you would expect from a brown ale. The nose is caramel malts with some light roasted aromas, and hints of molasses, floral and pine hops. Medium mouthfeel. The flavor is a nice balance between the maltyness and the floral and pine hops. There is some chocolate and light bitterness in the finish. This is a very nice brown that make you want to have another glass. Nicely done.
