hapjydeuce (581), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 27, 2008 Updated: Apr 28, 2008At the brewery after a long day of rock climbing around Mt. St. Helena. Overall, a pretty lackluster IPA. Very hazy yellow-amber color. Light and fizzy white head. Aroma is difficult to pick up, only a bit of faint greenery noticeable. The flavor balance is pretty skewed. Almost seems like the malt base was way too strong. Decent bitterness, but fades quickly into a ginger-infused disappointing finish. Needs balance and a crisper palate. Good for quenching your thirst with a burger, however. roder_60 (872), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2007 Had on tap at the brewery as part of their 6 beer sampler. Found most to be weak and watery and this followed suit but it was probably my favorite of the bunch. Had a dark amber orange color with some light foamy head that quickly dissapated. Aroma is earthy piney hops. Flavor is also piney, slight citrus undertone, and some sweet malt, but mostly watery. Overall, just eh.
