My Bottom Line:
Citrusy hops blossom over toasted and lightly caramelized malts, creating a silky and firmly bitter India Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear coppery amber.
-The caramel malts and fruity hops merge nicely.
-Even though the body is a tad nourishing, it is still very drinkable. Precisely what I like in my American-style IPAs.
-The finishing bitterness is resinous and recalls condensed leafiness.
-I find this a lot more interesting in this style than their regular IPA, which is very malty compared to most other IPAs.

Bottle.

341ml bottle at 2.29$ from La Ressource. Pours hazy amber with a small head that disappears fast. Nose is sweet, wet, grassy and piny hops. Taste is piny hops. Quite sweet and moderately bitter (for an IPA). Finish is bitter, fruity and sweet. This is a bit too sweet for my taste.

(Rating #2763)

Clear amber orange with a nice white foamy head. Nose of caramel malts and a touch of citrus. Medium to full body with medium carbonation, lots of caramel malts on the palate and not much bitterness despite its announced 66 IBU’s. Well balanced altough I was expecting a little bit more of the C hops everywhere, from nose to aftertaste. Still a pretty good effort, and it’s nice to have a really good session IPA in bottles in this province.

Clear amber pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of floral, citrusy hops with caramel malt. The flavor is very crisp, the Cascade hops provide a floral, citrusy flavor and a good dose of caramel, toasty malts provide some balance, there’s a solid bitterness in the end. The body is light to medium with a slightly oily texture and moderate carbonation. Very good.

341 ml bottle, bought October 28, 2009 at Peluso (Montreal). Red copper, small head. Aroma of hops a little fruity, with hints of malted barley. Taste of barley sugar hop, good bitterness, aftertaste rather malty. Not as good as the Bièropholie version, but better than its IPA!

Bottle - 341ml. Nice amber/copper body with low carbonation and a thick off-white foamy head. Well balanced hoppy aroma with malty and flowery hints. Sharp hoppy taste with brown sugar, oaky, and fruity notes. Ends with a long, robust bitter finish. Well done.

Rather soft grapefruit, herbal hop and some pollen sweetness. Taste is earthy, dry hops with a strong bitter finale. Good IPA but nothing more.

Clear straight amber pour covered by a lasting white sheet. Upfront grapefruity, flower petals and leafy IPA that hits the nail straight on the head with its forward and bright flavours. Very clean and drinkable IPA which plays in the same flavour range once in mouth. Toasty, pear-like, bright malts provide a honeyed sweetness which is rapidly tamed by the considerable bitterness, which cuts through the sweetness without pity. Of medium consistency, it manages to be most refreshing. Definitely hop-focused and not aiming at complexity, but a most pleasant drink. Thumbs up.
