Pours a clear amber color with a thin beige head. Nice aroma of floral, resinous hops, malt and caramel sweetness. Good flavor of resinous, floral hops, malt and caramel, there’s a solid presence of bitterness in the end. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation. Well-done and enjoyable.

341ml bottle. Amber with a medium off white foamy head showing good retention and beautifull lacing. Aroma is earthy, hoppy and malty with caramel, toasted malt, floral hops, and biscuits. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, toasted malt, biscuits, floral hops, herbal hops and raisins with a bitter and sweet aftertaste. Medium body. IPA’s often lacks the malt profile, but this one is well balanced, lots of hops aromas and a rich malt backbone with a ton of caramel. Very drinkable and very well done.

Bouteille 341ml.

malty floral hops aroma with some celery, and odd vegetables. Flavor is more of this weird celery mixed with some grains, and a faint hop finish. Medium bitteress. Drinkable, but not very pleasant.

Deep copper coloured body, almost cola coloured and a very thin tan head with a fast-fading top and a deep brown tint - odd for the style. Aroma of caramel, nuts, malt and a bunch of hops - not the predominant smell though! Medium-bodied; Nutty and chewy texture at first showing deep malt notes, caramel and nuts throughout. Aftertaste has some of the grapefruit and floral hop bitterness, but more caramel and malt flavours emerge. Overall, definitely an IPA bordering on the malt side of things, with less reliance on hops, but also showing caramel, burnt sugars and a ton of nuts too. Decent, but nothing great, but this is what I’ve come to expect from Canadian IPAs. I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased on THIS side of the border at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 02-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 10-December-2009. A great beer to try without having to goto Montreal or Quebec to grab it!

Bottle ( 341ml ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with JulienHuxley. Clear bright deep amber, average diminishing off-whte creamy head. Slightly sweet malt aroma, a hint of celery, floral and mild citrus bitterness. Taste - strongly bitter, dry resin and marigold essence, mild malt backbone - this is just BITTER. Solid body, really lively mouthfeel, not entirely pleasant aftertaste. Odd.

Thanks to HogTownHarry, shared with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Cherry red, small white head. Aroma: nutty and roasty, some cherry and dark fruit??, hops. Flavour: Spicy, lots of malt and some tangy hops, I can detect the alcohol, long bitter vegetal finish.

Bottle: Clear dark orange. small beige head, med carbonation. It’s citrusy, it has a full body. Bitterness is clean and pleasant. The malt compostion / hoping make it a very balanced beer.

[bottle] Potent, spicy toffee malt that is slightly estery and with citrusy hops. Clear chestnut appearance under a thin, white sheet. Nice caramel malt flavour combined with a tangy, floral hops. Moderate bitterness, moderate carbonation, weak tangy bitter finish.
