Yellow pale color lacking in fizz. Light head of short duration. Ordinary scent with notes of cereals and dry grass. Poor, light fizzy taste with watery end.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer. mabjork (580), Vasa, Finland Aug 22, 2006 Bottled. Pale in colour. mediumsized white head.A hoppy aroma with a sweetness to it. A slight malty taste with a watery and sweet aftertaste. Yepp, it’s a bilk lager ;) oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland Oct 27, 2005 Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Hoppy hayish aroma. Sweetish hoppy and malty aroma. Quite bulk feeling over it... clearly not a winner. TBone (6675), Pori, Finland Apr 10, 2004 Bottled (BB 09.09.2004, brewed in Kerava)
Pale lager color, small white head, some lace. Aroma is hoppy. Light malty body and some (but not much) bitter aftertaste. A decent lager to being an extra cheap bulk lager from Sinebrychoff. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Mar 13, 2004 Very pale golden color, small head. Mild, fruity nose. Malt and hops have both been clearly spared from this brew. Very light-bodied, quite watery palate. Refreshing, but mostly tasteless and watery lager, that luckily lacks the "Koff-skunkiness". From 1970 to 1992 Amiraali was brewed by Pyynikki Oy in Tampere, but Sinebrychoff bought it, and soon closed it down. I don't know how much this version has in common with the original - not much, I guess...
