0.33 l bottle. Dark reddish brown color with small long lasting head. Malty, nutty and caramelly aroma with notes of licorice and something unpleasant (rotten egg?). Malty, nutty, toasty and a bit metallic flavor. Fairly sharp carbonation. Not as dull as finnish mainstream lagers, but still dull.

33cl Can- An appealing spicy, fruity aroma which is quite surprising for a canned beer. Mild fruity taste, not too much flavour. Easy to drink and certainly doesn’t taste as strong as 6%.

0,33L bottle. Dark brown with creamy head. At first malt flavor , after tasted hops too. Not so strong and its good.

One of the few Koff lagers to have any character. Spiciness, of the sweet variety, augments the otherwise bland bread back-drop. No real bitterness.

Bottle. [Sinebrychoff Jouluolut IV - 6.0%] Very dark red / brown color with a small head. Weak aroma of musty yeast and some hops. Boring. Ok flavour, hops, nuts, ginger. Hops in the medium-long finish.

Rated feb 4, 2006, but under wrong name, moved to the correct one. [Sinebrychoff Jouluolut IVA - Can 6.0%] I like my Christmas brews to be dark and strong with lots of spices, to show that it comes only ones a year like a kick in the face. This one is very far from it. There’s nothing wrong with it, but there’s nothing special either. It was dark and had some malty scent and taste, but the alcohol showed off a bit.

[Sinebrychoff Jouluolut IVA - 6.0%] Creamy and long-lasting head, good fullness. Red clearly color, limpid and with medium fizz... elegant and altogether valid aspect. Lightly alcoholic scent, bitterish with notes of red fruits and burnt wood. Balanced, enough smooth but pleasant taste with rumors of malt and withered red fruits. Medium body without particular excesses but much pleasant and drinkable. Medium end, discreetly scented. Thanks to mabjork for this beer.
